This issue is personal for me. In Grands on Tour, I share the story of my Collette Reflections of Italy tour with my granddaughter, from Rome to Lake Como. It’s the second chapter in a family tradition my mother started, where each grandchild is invited on a journey of their own when they turn twelve. Between the Colosseum and the canals of Venice, we found our own rituals: a daily scoop of gelato (sometimes in place of dinner), a flexible itinerary, and quiet evenings spent sketching the day from memory. Meanwhile, in Paris à Deux, our editor Renée Morrison takes her daughter on her very first mother-daughter adventure to Disneyland Paris, where they discover the theme park’s timeless magic brought to life with French flair. Both stories come with helpful tips for travelling with budding jetsetters.
